Students society meet formed with respect to having a business grooming are often termed as business students society. Most of the good business schools are likely to have such societies. It is a good habit to attend these society meetings as they are likely to have a good influence on you and can help you expand your knowledge base exhaustively.

In addition, our motto “Mixing Business with Pleasure” plays a huge role in everything that we do, and the DCS hosts several great social events during the year. The DCS’ social and academic events not only bring students together for a good time, but facilitates networking among peers. The DCS provides students with ways to get involved within the university and the community by encouraging students to attend business conferences.

As the liaison between students and the administration/faculty, the DCS does everything in its power to assist with any issues that may arise. The DCS executive works as a team, keeping Bachelor of Commerce students’ best interests at heart, to ensure a fun and memorable four years.

What is CASA?
The Commerce and Administration Students’ Association (CASA) is a student-run organization that represents undergraduates who are pursuing their studies at the John Molson School of Business (JMSB). CASA as a whole is committed to serving the needs of the JMSB student body.

Comprised of 6 Associations and 7 Committees, CASA provides its students with a wide range of academic support and extracurricular activities designed to enhance the value of their university experience. No matter what the discipline, our primary objective is to offer JMSB students an opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and practice in order to properly prepare them for the future.

MissionThe mission of the CUS executive is to represent the needs of Haskayne students and student groups to the business school and the community while making the time you spend in the Haskayne School of Business the best time of your life both academically and socially.

Purpose
The Commerce Undergraduate Society is the umbrella group for all the student organization in the Haskayne School of Business. The CUS executive serves as student representatives to the faculty, student organizations and the rest of the corporate community. We function as an avenue in which, you, the student, can build important relationships with your fellow classmates, professors, and future business contacts.

Our purpose is to co-ordinate the affairs of all management clubs and represent the undergraduate body to the faculty. In addition to this, we also organize major events and provide an array of student services.

Location
Our office is located in Scurfield Hall, room 199K (in the clubs trailer). Please visit us with any questions or concerns; we are here to serve all undergraduate students at the Haskayne School of Business.

Recent News

During the 2009/2010 Academic year, the BSA worked to re-brand itself. The mandate and policies (including: BOP, the Constitution, and the Strategic Plan) were redefined. ExperiencePlus started being tracked, and an Active Member Program was introduced. This was also the year that the Experimental and Directed Learning became a credit, where students who are extremely involved within the BSA have a chance to earn recognition for their work in the form of an official credit.
